SS Great Britain

... was sold to the Falkland Islands Company in 1886 after a fire, and used as a storage hulk. Scuttled in 1930, it was towed back to Bristol from Port Stanley in 1970 and restored as a museum.

The Great Western (also built in Bristol) was broken up on the Thames in 1856, and the Great Eastern (built on the Thames at Millwall) was broken up on the River Mersey in 1889–90. Its topmast was bought by Liverpool FC as a flagpole, and still stands outside Anfield.
